Section 1: Create An Account.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Info about your shop.
- Your wholesale account information for each of your suppliers.
Step 1A: Choosing Your Account Type.
Open your web browser and navigate to https://www.partstech.com/mechanic/signup Once you’re there click on Repair Shop.
Step 2A: Enter Your Account Info.
Choose your username and password. Write these down and keep them in a safe place. Then, enter a valid email address, one you can access often. You’ll need to confirm your email to activate your account. We’ll also send you important emails about your account.
Step 3A: Name And Address.
Enter your name, address and some basic information about your shop.
Step 4A: Supplier Selection.
Here’s where you’ll select the distributors you buy from. Read section 2 for more detailed instructions below.
Step 5A: Confirm Your Email.
Login to the email account you used to create your account and click the link confirming your email to activate your account.
Step 6A: Your Account Is Now Active!
Congratulations! You’ve set up an account on PartsTech. A PartsTech Rep will reach out to you on the phone number you provided within 1 business day. They will help you set up the following..
If you have already input your wholesale credentials into PartsTech, our system will communicate with your suppliers to approve these accounts shortly. Usually you’ll see an account verified message within 48 hours, although some suppliers may require additional information to configure. Your PartsTech Rep will be available to help in those situations.
Once all of your suppliers are set up you’re ready to start sourcing parts on PartsTech! Check out our articles on running a search to get started.
Section 2: Configure Your Suppliers.

Step 1B: Log-in To PartsTech.
Open your web browser and navigate to: https://www.partstech.com/login
Step 2B: Click On My Suppliers.
Go to the top right-hand corner of the screen, and hover over your username with your cursor, then click on my suppliers.
Step 3B: Click On “Add New Supplier.”
PartsTech currently supports up to 5 suppliers at once. If you need to remove or modify a supplier, hover over the supplier you want to change, then click either the pencil icon to edit your wholesale account info, or the “x” icon to remove it from your supplier list.

Arrange: PartsTech will always display your first call vendor first. You can choose which order you would like them to appear by clicking and dragging on the

Step 4B: Use The Map To Find And Select Your Supplier.
You can search the map in several different ways. By default the Map will show suppliers in your area by zip code. Groups of parts stores will appear as a circle with a number. The number indicates how many parts stores are in the general area. Click on the circle to zoom and expand. You can also use the + and – buttons to zoom in and out. Click and drag to move around the map.
Step 5B: You Can Also Enter A Supplier’s Name Into The Search Bar.
Step 6B: Entering Your Wholesale Account Information.
Once you click the “+” button to add a supplier you will be asked to enter your wholesale account information.

If you don’t know your account info you can skip this step by clicking “I want PartsTech to help me get my account info” and a PartsTech rep will contact you shortly.
Step 7B: Select Your Servicing Location.
If the supplier has multiple locations please select the address of your servicing location. Note: You will still be able to see expanded inventory from other stores in that suppliers network.
Note: Organizing Your Suppliers
You can choose the order in which your suppliers appear by clicking and dragging the up & down arrows and moving your suppliers into the order you prefer.
Setting Up PartsTech In Your Management System/Finding your API key.
In order for PartsTech to communicate with your management system, you will need to find your API key and input that key into your management system. Finding your API key is easy if you’re logged in you can goto https://www.partstech.com/profile/shop/api-options or follow the steps below:
Step 1C: Sign In And Go To My Account.
Goto the top right corner (highlighted in red).
Step 2C: Hover Over Your Username, The Drop Down Menu Will Appear.
Step 3C: Go To The “Account“ Tab.
Click on the “Account” tab (highlighted in red).
Step 4C: Go To The API Section.
Click on the API section and you’ll see your API Key, (highlighted in red) copy that and enter it into your Shop Management System. For further information on where to enter your API Key, consult your shop management system representative.
