Before you can set up PartsTech on MaxxTraxx you will need to complete the following:
- Create a PartsTech account.
- Confirm your email.
Finding your API Key.
In order for PartsTech to communicate with your management system, you will need to find your API key and input that key into your management system. Finding your API key is easy if you’re logged in you can goto https://www.partstech.com/profile/shop/api-options or follow the steps below:
Step 1: Sign In And Go To My Account.
Goto the top right corner (highlighted in red).
Hover Over Your Username, The Drop Down Menu Will Appear.
Go To The “Account“ Tab.
Click on the “Account” tab (highlighted in red).
Go To The API Section.
Click on the API section and you’ll see your API Key, (highlighted in red) copy that and enter it into your Shop Management System. For further information on where to enter your API Key, consult your shop management system representative.
Step 2: Enter Your Username & API Key Into MaxxTraxx
Open Maxxtraxx and Click on Setups
Click Electronic Ordering
Double Click on PartsTech
Copy and Paste Your Username (UserID) and API Key from PartsTech into Maxxtraxx an Click Ok
